Asset Shatekov – Managing Partner

Mr. Shatekov has unique background which combines senior level experience at world financial centers and Kazakhstan national corporations. Before Blackstone Capital, he was Executive Director of Finance in KazMunayGas, a national oil and gas company, and Chief Financial Officer at Kazakhstan Railways. Before he gained invaluable experience at Merrill Lynch in London where he was responsible for arranging structured products.

Mr. Shatekov earned BA and MA degrees in Economics with honours from Moscow State University (Russia) that included a year of study in Bogazici University in Turkey. He also holds Master’s in Economics degree from London School of Economics (UK). He is currently level 1 candidate in the CFA programme.

Assylbek Bolatkulov – Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Bolatkulov career began his career with Blackstone Capital in February 2006. Prior to joining the company he worked in consulting firms Sana Consulting and KERA, where he was responsible for providing services to corporate clients interested in optimizing their business.

Mr. Bolatkulov graduated from Kazakh State Academy of Management, Almaty in International monetary and financial relations.
